Simply Books

Dear Mr. Chetan Bhagat. There are book authors and there are some book authors who should have been movie story writers of bollywood movies. Here is one who is desperste to portray himself as a “youth writer” and screws it up every-time. His first book “Five point someone”? (or something like that.) was a fantasy story which 12 year olds would write. Then came “One night at call center” , which would have presented the whole BPO- America-Youth in a much better fashion.  His third book about “3 mistakes of his life ” should have included writing the two previous books and then writing this one.

Then there is ” The tale of two states” (or something like that). All he does is poke fun at poor Tamils and Punjabi. Time will come when both will pay back…….

So here is the deal : You want a masala entertaining , nonsensical read , go ahead read books by Mr. CB . If you are looking for something meaningful .. Trash it.

    chethan bhagat rocks !
i agree that one night @ call center is not so good .

If You want a masala entertaining , nonsensical movie go and watch 3 idiots .

if you say a 12 year old can write 5 point someone , then so many indians are idiots to buy that book . i don’t think they are 😛

FOR YOUR INFO : he is a pujabi n his wife anusha is a tamilian

3 idiots was a movie which brought into view (once again) the story of our in-efficient education system.
and trust me we all can be idiots………….

      • sachingowda says :

our education system is criticized even in 5. someone . aamir khan is not at all an ‘idiot’ in the movie .
“we all can be idiots” to buy 5. someone ? or to watch 3 idiots ? or bcoz of our educational system ?
i think the only answer is watching n movie which failed to show inefficiency of our educational system .
name change , vacuum cleaner , rise of wangadu ! how do you believe all this ^&*$ !!!!!!

yeah.. i agree that the whole idea of ” one night at the callcenter” is nonsense. But being one of his fan , i won’t with u about other books much. He tries to be a youth writer or not is not a matter, bt he tries to write whatever that sells.Dont u think that reading one of his books is better than watching so called bollywood comidy (funny, if u want to name it so)movie?

  3. jayadeeptp says :

you forgot the third book “Three mistakes of my life “.
Didn’t ya read it ? anyways it was not better than the first two so you wouldn’t have liked it…….

i think the only answer is watching the movie which failed to show inefficiency of our educational system , by adding masala’s in between making the audience to forget it

CB’s books are the best…i dont know why i even read them…the minute i finished them, i couldnt stand the sight of them….even to this day,i dont understand why he is one of India’s glorified “Youth writers”…i think my class has better talent than that.

    • Rahul Vittal says :

Yep, the glorification gets to me. He doesn’t deserve to be called as India’s most successful writer, in the same breath as R. K. Narayan, Vikram Seth or Amitav Ghosh
